Ok so it comes on an ITX board and it has a NVIDIA card which can take control and an NVIDIA GPU/ CPU ARM CPU.
It's essentially a big little PC as opposed to just the chip. Where performance matters the big card takes over other tasks can be operated by the Little ARM GPU chip. if there is far less important processing going on it can be done on the Little even everything the big is for the heavy duty performance if you feel you need it.
This could sell well for Nvidia if they hooked into steams efforts to go ARM.
The main board could cost $80-$220 and the Power card could cost $100-$900 with the more expensive cards still for the x86 only and would be harder to adapt for mining.
It's just as much a porting issue.
If you can easily make games for it with the main game engines that would be worth something and if there was a good engine for quickly with ai assistance producing 2d game remakes that would also get the games market on such a platform going.
Web stuff would work fine with it they just need to chase google around for a few years for that.
Nvidia would be wise to get adobe and the like to consider lite and premium Nvidia ARM edition options instead of lite standard and premium which an x86 usually gets.
Nvidia might also want to make their Board and Card combo propitiatory. So yes you can pick which card and board you want from NVidia but the OS is regulated by NVidia much like an apple or a console. This would ensure software quality but limit freedom. However a good range of quality software when first pitching to the world market is more useful for such a product than it being more free flow. then again once the technology is more established Nvidia could make the platform more free like allowing alternative OS's and more software developments in improving the product ecosystem.
Couldn't the only market viable NVidia PC be this sort of thing offering a better gaming options than the MAC and slightly less capable premium editions. So If you wanted a good gaming system not the best and mac like software options without the buggyness of microsoft and the security level of sony or mac then put your two Nvidia boards together for a more watt efficient PC like service.
