Maybe a low watt mode standard could be set across the whole system where by only little CPU and GPU cores are on when doing light work on the computer then it all turbos up during 3D graphics rendering or some other demanding task. The would save the user watts and hence money when doing lite tasks. In time this could all be scalable where you can control how many cores turn on and how many zero process cycles to include to keep the watts low when your not being too demanding.
