2000 years ago was after the creation of Jesus the mythical fair boy who performed miracles. The Roman hierachey created Jesus to keep the women quelled who were complaining about how all the gods were macho men.
Underground Rome is where they put their undersireables and the cross is what they used a lot to represent the maths of their culture which became more crazy living underground.
The underdogs became the overloads.
It is possible someone who was later called Jesus helped sparked a move in Rome when say a centurion wrote what he had to say when he got up to a balcony and said how his one God the cross could unite with Rome.
Not much was written at the time so all that was written about made some people like celebrities.
Now it's 2021 is the cross the optimal tool to describe the physics of reality does the underlying mechanics work in enough parity for a cross to be used or do you have to understand broken parity in the long run. It a big question still worth analysing.
