It's all fine and well to point at the more needy aspects of this market and say the government should be subsidising say electric heating and insulation However often products off more want than need can subsidise products of need.
In this light then the UK needs a strategy to Research standardise and unify certain aspects of home improvements which make it easier taking more fiddlyness and cost for greeness out of the process where realistic efficiency can be achieved and freeing the designer more at the same time. This upgrade to the industry coupled with a good promotional market for energy efficient heating packages should allow more people to get good home improvements on lower income brackets along with improvements for the whole industry in terms of going green only costing the government a few well placed millions for the R&D Rounding up the good advice and also the policy tweaking they would have to do. This all has to be relative to how well the supply of needed work force is available for such economy building over other needs.
