You can't split China and Russia your better of waiting for China to get more democratic which given the number of students competing to be policy makers won't be to long and Russia will evolve also after Putin, who is not immortal and does get old.
Africon does seem to be more than a bit of a con on Africa which would do better if they accelerated in material science and using that sweet sun to produce metamaterials. That way Africa could get those mark ups many others take for granted and the world still has reasonable access to Africa's raw materials.
Yes there may be issues but if the rest of the world work in a more respectable way with Africa then I'm sure it's of greater long term benefit.
South America and Central America needs proper well natured culture and communities not all the crap rising to the top abusing the rests wishes.
Thorium reactors could allow us to clean up the nuclear issue and lead us to an end for the nuclear energy age which always was worth more stopping and cleaning up.
