so start with a point with two lines going at a 60 degree angle out to from one another.
Now imagine this represents a cone with infinite height.
If i draw a point on the cone and make an intersecetion at some where between 60 - 180 degrees from the finite side I will end up with an ellipse. so to can I make a parabola from an ellipse and a parabolic section of a hyperbola.
sorry draw it out on paper for your self the issue of the ellipse becomes obvious for all angles between 60 and 180 degrees. no calculus is required.

Diagnosis - Paranoid Schizophrenia although challenged.
Medication - Clopixol injection 4 weekly.
Personal diagnosis - I battle with the chemistry and biological effects of Clopixol every day trying to improve on the heath and range of my approach.
I try to improve my thinking. Hopefully some good ideas shine through.
