DA - Arguments And Communication

I have a question that’s been in my mind for a while now. With so much of the avoidants’ behaviour being pulling away, I wonder how do you have a fair argument with someone who is avoidant? If you can’t talk to them or that is sort of my impression so I need some clarification on it. How do we actually have disagreements? Cause disagreements happen in all kinds of relationships, so I’m curious.

In ...

Dismissive-Avoidant And Conflict?

What is the best way in trying to resolve conflict with a Dismissive Avoidant if they refuse to listen to you and they shut down?

Especially if you told them you no longer want anything to do with them i.e no contact and no friendship. But you feel bad because they hurt you which is what resulted in you cutting contact with them.

How can you reach out and try to make amends?

Feeling that I can't love others

Hey guys,

I’m really struggling with anxiety and depression at the moment and just hoping that someone might be able to offer some insight or opinions.

I’ve just hit 30 this year seeing a lot of my friends settle down etc and the idea just seems so scary to me! The idea of picking one person to spend the rest of my life with just seems overwhelming. I’ve always thought I would change as I ...

Doubt mother relationship

I don't want to be one of those nagging daughters. But for a while now I have been doubting the relationship me and my mother have.
We are very close and I love her very much. We help each through difficult times which are due to others reasons that I am not going to go into right now.

I am 25 years old a student and live with her. Lately it seems that the relationship ...

Was I wrong to not tell my friend her ex is dating her frien

I've known my friend Jodie for around 2 years. I remained friends with her and her ex-boyfriend Harley after they broke up about 3 months ago. They obviously don't get along with eachother, but despite that I was on good terms with both of them.

Recently, Jodie's close friend Leah got together with Harley. I knew about it and decided it was best to not get involved in the situation, and not tell Jodie. Leah ...

Struggle

Hello everyone. I am going throw a really hard time. My boyfriend left me almost 3 months ago. We were friends and worked together for 10 years before being together. I think you had a good relationship as we are very similar in many things. I was so in love with him that I was terrified by the idea of losing him. So I started acting crazy and seeking drama all the time. He got ...

Should I have broken up with her?

I am so confused right now. I honestly can't believe I am questioning whether I made a sound decision or not.

I had a girlfriend who is very successful in her industry and has moved up, work is important to her. I have a skilled labor occupation which is a good job also, but I work to live. I am 25 and she is 33 so I guess there was a social stigma there. She ...

But right before that Barbie had an affair with a " work friend" she ...

Boyfriend and female 'just' friends

I don't really trust platonic opposite sex friendships. I've had 4 in my life and they've all ended when boundaries are crossed and feelings are hurt.

My boyfriend clearly doesn't think that. In fact, all the female friends he makes are all attractive, fit and younger than him.
The most recent one is a work colleague, who he seems to have grown close to. I don't go through his phone or anything but I've noticed ...
