Hi, all!I don't even really know why I'm here! I don't even have a question! I'm really just venting, I guess!

I'm going to start with this! I'm bipolar with psychotic episodes, PTSD, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder & God knows what else that's rolling around in the brain! Now I've had an insurance change last month & I just got the new card & the ...

Let's Talk

Alright guys, time to be honest. I've had just enough wine to open up. Let's talk.

I'm depressed. My new medication regime isn't working. I don't see my doc until the 28th. How do I deal? I've been sitting on the couch since he changed my meds (about two or three weeks). I don't clean. I don't cook. My wife is probably getting sick of me. (I'm female. I'm not on my period.) My roommate ...

Uh-oh

Okay, so as you know I have taken a short period off work because I was getting a couple of symptoms & patted myself on the back for being so proactive & avoiding a much longer absence from work. The idea was that I would nip this in the bud & return to work after a few days.

I seem to be getting worse the past couple of days. I do not have a bad ...

Doubts about bipolar disorder

Can someone explain how is the ability of discernment affected in bipolar disorder?
And is it common to have sex with people who are a risk for you? Like murderers, psychopaths?
Does your lack of discernment makes it impossible for you to realize you should not be getting involved with this kind of people when you're in crisis?

These DAMN meds! (weight gain)

I've gained a few pounds and I just feel so hungry all the time. I used to be a runner many years ago (like 20 years ago lol) and I don't even like to walk now. I hate my meds but I've tried so many combinations over the years and I just can't seem to be able to be without the antipsychotic. The antidepressant, Wellbutrin is supposed to be good and not have you gain ...

Lost all my friends

I'm 42, and I've got no friends left.

I was suicidal before, and had such a terrible mood and outlook on life, and I pushed everyone away. I wanted to be alone, to hide under the covers, and to avoid life.

Now I've still got my MDD, but I have it under control, with diet, exercise, and meds.

I have a nice new home, and a great vehicle and a new job. Everything is starting ...

Making the leap

Well hello, after a very long absence. Skilsaw, I see you're around. Much high-fiving to you & the other members I haven't rediscovered yet.

Hello also newbies. Last time I was reasonably ill with a mood episode, I swore that I would regularly contribute to this forum & keep doing so once I was fully recovered to dole out advice & support. Unfortunately, I've been extremely remiss in doing so. This isn't entirely a bad ...

Normal reaction to Prozac??

Hello everybody!!
Just for context, I am an 18-year-old girl living in California. When I was 16 I was diagnosed with MDD and I was in therapy for about 6 months until my family's financial situation prevented me from going. I have had a few depressive episodes since then, but it's pretty off and on and I actually had a period of time last March-May that I felt the best I have ever felt. I ...

Relationships during therapy

We've been having some severe fights since I started therapy.

And now my SO basically said that he hasn't changed, even if that's a how I feel (I still don't think this is completely true) But I've changed and "figured out a few neat things like I was looking to be better and a sort of show off." This is pretty much how it was presented to me during an angry outburst. ...
