It's pretty clear from this remorse, that as an adult you wouldn't do that. No, being a child isn't always a blanket excuse for really bad actions, but given nothing terrible happened as a result, I would echo catnaps and suggest that you can get away with being less harsh on yourself. So many times, people come to this forum, expecting their child self to have adult sensibilities, and it's just not so. We're not born little adults.
