Cycles of forgetting?

Postby galaxial » Tue Jan 21, 2025 6:57 pm

I'm part of a system (DID), so I'm used to not having access to all of the memories and feelings stored in our brain, but I was wondering about something in particular. I seem to go through cycles where I'll first be obsessively trying to work on our CSA trauma and I'll usually feel horrible and be triggered near-constantly. Then, I'll fall off of that and somehow slip into a period where it's very difficult to even connect to feelings about that trauma, let alone memories. I'll also forget a lot of what I did to work on things or even just random stuff from the time period I was in the first part of the cycle.

Anyone else experience something like this?
