News of Cyclothymia

I've been noticing that a popular medication to treat Cyclothymic Disorder is Depakote, and anti-epileptic. Are there any known links between epilepsy and Cyclothymia and/or Bipolar Disorder as far as neuroscience goes? I.e. similarly problematic neurotransmitters?

My p-doc diagnosed me with bipolar II (bipolar lite?). And while I trust him and he seems competent, he's not the most talkative. And I have lots and lots and lots of questions. He's an HMO doc. :roll:
