A Wandering Mind

A wandering mind is an unhappy one, declares Scientific American.

What do you think? Does this bode ill or well for ADD? In moments of distraction, is what you think usually in harmony with what you do? Classification?

Why is ADD classified as a developmental disorder, anyway? Is it a failure of the attention span to develop properly as the brain grows?

Hello World!

I'm new to PsychForums and haven't been formally diagnosed with ADD. My therapist seems to think I fit the profile:

As a child, I tried to keep my hyperactivity bottled up, but I don't feel that ...

Hi, I am new to this forum and was interested in posting to see if anyone else could answer a question I have about amphetamine prescriptions: I am curious if anyone else has ever been allowed to have more than two instant release amphetamine prescriptions at any given time. The two drugs that I would like to take are IR Dex and IR Adderall (without anything else -- as in, no XR drugs). My psychiatrist ...

I lived the rest of my childhood/adolescence without health insurance and never went to a doctor.

I knew I had problems in class. I remember even at one point in time, the teacher was talking in the ...

any advice?

I would like to ask a question about the son of my friend. As neither does she or anyone know how to treat him...

The kid is now 11 year old. As she stated, he didn't want to talk until three years old, and just did "a" for whatever he wanted, and that lasted until they didn't act like they do not understand him if he doesn't say what he wants, and then he started ...
