Just diagnosed this week

Hi,

I am now 22 and have been faking symptoms of seizures, asthma and deadly allergic reactions since I was 15. Somehow, I managed to convince myself that I really had a problem and needed help, so thats just what I've done. I was just officially diagnosed with Munchausen Syndrome a few days ago.

I was hoping that someone could share with me their experiences with 'recovery' from this. From reading what i can off ...

"Official" diagnosis

I had my first appointment with a psychologist today and have an 'official' diagnosis. Has anyone ever had problems with insurance with a diagnosis of Munchausen's Syndrome? I am concerned that my insurance may balk at paying for future problems. NOT that I'm planning on doing anything else - I want to stop!

I told!

I admitted to the doctor that had confronted me that he was right, after vehemently denying it. He was good - glad that I had 'come clean' with him, and willing to help me find some help. My best friend feigned cancer for two years.

I have a real life support system that helped me through this so far, including my husband, my mother, my aunt, my mother in law and my cousin. I do intend to rely on that support system and any other resources if necessary as I continue to come to terms with this.

I am not looking for advice as to how I could have done things differently, or negative remarks of any kind.

Despite all ...

.

Hi. I'm 16 years old and from USA. First off I want to say I'm so excited that I found this place. For years upon years I've been so confused and I believed I was the only one who sought attention. I was beginning to think I was nuts. But I'm not. Anyways, I'm just going to blab about my past and hopefully you can tell me if you THINK I may be suffering from ...
