does anyone know what I mean? I just long for some sort of physical touch. And yet I don't want anyone to know that. People try and touch me, hug me, I shy away "Don't touch me!" But secretly I want to snuggle with someone at night :(

Does anyone know of a form of anxiety that causes an unwilliness to spend money. Physical sickness can arise from overdoing the budget or spending a lot on a family holiday etc. Also the enjoyment of saving and collecting money in the bank for no particular reason. Eg. Would rather eat a stale mouldy loaf of bread than eat a spectacular loaf of bread from a very expensive French bakery, even if the bread ...

With therapy, will a local counsellor do, or will I have to see some really specialised person? I can't drive yet, so I can't just take off anytime I want, and the only freedom I have as a 17 year old is uni. I'm very convinced that I have AvPD but I don't suffer any physical anxiety symptoms such as panic attacks, butteflies in tummy, etc. I just get majorly stressed and worried, that's all. Is anyone else like that?

i dunno whether other ppl feel this way but i find many 'normal' ppl pretty boring, fickle and too concerned with sticking to rules. If i wasn't so bloody avoidant, id walk around singing everyday, be happy and just live life -
