What do you think?

Recently, I have become very frustrated with some of the things I do and also how they affect my everyday life. I have posted on here before with questions in the compulsive lying forum, but now I have more questions. :? These are the things I can think of that I struggle with frequently:

-I have a very hard time telling the truth. It's an awful habit ...

What Kind of Distracted are You? :)

I've collected some webcomics featuring inattentive and absent-minded characters: a physicist, a mathematician (here he is the morning after), a doctor, a lawyer, an engineer, (all in the same strip; the first two seem more obsessive or anxious than distracted, but the third guy's got it bad), an information junkie (two strips), and Link (only gamers will get it).

I know it's silly, but come on, guys, liven up! Image

ADD and OCD

Does it strike you as odd that these two would occur together though they are unrelated and have opposite effects on the brain? Do you think people with ADD are more likely to seek partners with OCD, and the reverse? Because I think I inherited one from either side of my family.

Hyperfocus becoming an issue for me.

I have OCD as well as ADHD. As everyone knows there is advantages to hyperfocus. When I'm in a state of hyperfocus I learn new things VERY quickly in the same time it would take others far longer to achieve. (Please do not take this as an arrogant comment, I definitely don't mean it that way.) But, lately it's becoming a burden. I do not know if it's a mixture of my OCD and ADHD ...

Hello there

i just wanted some advice regarding my Daughter

she is age 8, from around age 4 when she started nursery class at school we realized there was a problem as she had her shoes taken off her in the first week and we were pulled in most days regarding behavior, we put this down to the move from nursery to school nursery where it was more structured but then in September when she ...

what damage (if any) can a leaky gas line cause to the brain

Was my psychologist right. Gas leak will not cause brain (memory) problems?
(i am aware that some people would commit suicide by leaving their gas line open)

Simpsons cartoon had a similar story in an amusement park.
If there is leak in the gas line, (that caused hallucinations). people are just getting goofy off the gas. Ned contacts a gas supplier about the leak, hearing that it is poisonous and permanent (not temporary) brain damage.

Any Saganites in the Audience? (Poll)

What do you think of him? He was the only teacher I remember who didn't lose my attention in less than an hour. Does anyone else feel the same way, or is it just me?

Suspect my son has ADHD, is very touchy-feely

This is my first post on this forum. I'm currently trying to convince my son's pediatrician what I've suspected for years: that he has ADHD. (She's hesitant to diagnose since he's only 7.) Anyway, something about my son that from what I've read, may be unrelated to his condition, but he is very touchy-feely. When we sit down to read, he has to lean (with some force) on me. When he hugs, he hugs harder ...

I believe I could be a possible match for ADHD

Hi. I'm a twenty year old male, and recently I've come to terms that there may be something wrong with me and believe ADHD--or maybe even Aspergers--are more than possibilities. I was never diagnosed as anything when I was a kid, probably because I'm not, and never was, a fidgeter, or one of those people who constantly shakes their legs; I also did very well in school, and I'm currently in university on a partial ...
