I heard this was an Aspergers/Autism trait. People on the spectrum often need to get away from everyone quite often, and they do this by retreating back to their 'sanctuary' (i.e. their home) where they can recharge and not be disturbed. Do you relate?

My bf is undiagnosed AS. He constantly insults me: you look older than you are, your job is rubbish, your furniture is horrible, you've got schizophrenia or bipolar or split personality, go back to your dead ex bf, and the insultive swearing is often.

One moment he will be very loving and then suddenly become abusive. He may say sorry sometimes.

If we discuss something he is never wrong and ill be left in tears ...

It could just be my anxiety, but then again, anxiety is linked to Aspergers. Well, I'd like to avoid going into an endless rambling here, so I'll keep it short. I know that speech impairments are more than common in the Asperger's community, but I really want, and pretty much need to know if anyone else is affected the way I am. Keep in mind that I constantly express implications that are misinterpreted, whether it's online or verbally, so I might say a thing or two that seems unintentionally out of place.
