Hi New Here

Hi, I just wanted to now if anyone reads this board, I notice there hasn't been a post in a while, and wanted to tell my story.
I believe my mother had munchausen by proxy. I am in my 30's and my memories were never suppressed--it is more like I just pushed the knowledge of who she was and the things she would do into a closet in my mind. I knew, I was conscious ...

Trying to figure out if ex has MS and MSBP

Will try to be brief and to the point. My ex and I divorced because she ran up nearly $170,000 in medical expenses treating a thyroid disease that just simply did not show up on any medical tests that I saw. Not the entire reason but it was a major cause. In the meantime she has had kidney disease, displaced hip, degenerative bone disease, heart attacks and potassium deficiencies. When I married her she used ...

I'm new here... feeling so alone dealing with this!!

Hey everyone! I am new to this site, and have been reading some people's stories on here... I can completely understand many of your situations, as I have been a victim of my mother as well. My mother didn't use physical illness, but mental illness in our home. The other "interesting" tidbit in my case, is she targeted only me out of the three of us. When we were younger, she would attack my eldest ...

Anybody active here? How do I know it's not all in my head..

I'm 35, almost 36 years old, and I've just recently had a bit of a revelation about my childhood.

I'm actually pretty confident that my mom (who is now a bipolar wreck who I haven't spoken to in almost 4 years and who is not allowed to see my children) was deliberately overdosing me on two of my medications when I was a kid, in order to make me sick and garner attention from my ...

Still a victim

I'm new here although I read a lot of these posts a while ago and cried too much to post anything myself. I've come to a point where I need to share some of my experiences. There are a lot of gaps in both my memory and medical files so I still don't even know everything my mother did to me. She shied away from legitimate doctor visits, tending to take me to "friends" in ...

Questions for MBP survivors

Hi all -

My first time post. I am the oldest of three children and my mother inflicted severe, ongoing, emotional pain on me when I was 14-15. It wasn't medical as many of you describe. It was purely emotional with me. She was in her early 40's and was going through a divorce with my father who lived 2000 miles away. She would complain about him all the time but had no ability to ...

Adult survivors...

... I am an adult survivor of MBPS. My mother has it. I was abused by both parents growing up and have dealt with my father's abuse. I think that I am finally ready to deal with what my momther has done to me.

I found a journal of my mother's in my dad's things and by reading it, it made her seem like she was truly guilty for what she had been doing. I ...

Boyfriend and MBP?

Okay so after a visit with my therapist I've been seriously considering this as an option. I'm afraid that if I mention this in 3D that people are going to think I'm paranoid and want to increase my medication, which I don't feel is necessary at the moment. Sorry in advance for the long post.

So until recently ever since I've been with my boyfriend and started back on medication he has been in control ...

Munchausen by Internet?

Let's have another go at this, shall we? LOL! (The system ate my post last time!)

There is an interesting case of a woman whose 20-year-old daughter committed suicide Dec 2011. That's sad enough; the girl was beautiful, talented and by all accounts, special. Sadly, she took a massive overdose of amitriptyline in order to end her life.

Her mother, it would seem on the surface, became convinced that her daughter was stalked and then ...
