Dissociation portrayal in anime

I like anime and I know ones with multiple personality/identity stories.

I have decided to list them here and grade their dissociation portrayal.

Yu-Gi-Oh!; A for original story, B for spin-off stories
Mitsume ga Tōru; B just because it has not quite sit with me
DNA2; A if take in mind that it is some bland of OSDD and DID elements
DNAngel; B because they do not delve that much into DID/OSDD elements
Rosario+Vampire; A with a twist that I shouldn't spoil
Jubei-chan; A especially for second series

There is also anime where dissociation is portrayed in fusion way.

By fusion I mean two people share feelings and memories like alters.

Gleipnir; A for portrayal of how one can dissociate from other fused person

If you are into anime, I suggest you watch the anime I listed.

Your name. B not actually did however the body swapping and having to comunicate via text /journal is a good analogy/portrayal of what it is like to front with limited comunication/awareness and has helped us to explain did experience to outsiders.

Paprika B/C for a irl you versus internal you maybe but I think its a very loose bottom of the barrel read to see it as did.

Hello,

I have two contributions that I can think of.

1. Perhaps not the most comfortable series to watch but Elfen Lied might be an interesting watch if you can stomach it. (Horror)

2. Kuroko no Basket had an antagonist character that portrayed the situation of osdd decently. (Sport)

We are probably far from having any type of media show a completely accurate portrayal, but it is nice to know that anime makes an attempt at it. Thank you for sharing.

IDK that Perfect Blue is a good case or presentation. It's arguably not even DID and more a psychotic break cuz Rumi living vicariously through the young star (Mima) she was the agent for- and failing, again, to live that pop idol life she wanted.

IMHO it's a GREAT film... with a lot of... triggering content at times. There's MOMENTS that will trigger people - sex, sexual assault (portrayed not actual- it's an acting role thing), the psychosis, the stalker, etc. ((Those are warnings for others that might want to see it)).

Nanaka 6/17 is a pretty decent anime about a girl who becomes 6 most of the time after falling down the stairs and her adjusting to life in a relatively grown up body and having to finish her last year of high school under the very harsh Japanese high school system while only having the knowledge base of a 6 year old. It's surprisingly nuanced too, though it does result in a final fusion which is sad if not unexpected of DID fiction. It is from like 2004 though so it's a bit hard to track down now
