My girlfriend just got diagnosed Bipolar 2

Hello,

I just joined this forum for some insight. I have been in a 2 year relationship that has been the biggest emotional rollercoaster of my life. My girlfriend is the most mentally unstable person that I have ever met in my life. When I first met her she was just ending an abusive marriage to a guy that was also diagnosed Bipolar, but he was in complete denial himself. My girlfriend had been (though ...

Boundary Issue

Someone who I love and consider to be a friend is whittling away at my trust in her. Long story short, she is talking with my mother (my archenemy) behind my back. My mom has abused me for years, and life in her house is a roller-coaster. I feel that the disabilities I have, I have because of her, and I feel no love for her. I'm here because I cannot get into a shelter ...

Grandma talks too much! How can I keep my sanity?

I live with my boyfriend and his extended family. My boyfriend's grandmother, Sylvia, won't stop talking to me.

I have tried to make it obvious that I'm not interested in having lengthy conversations. I check my watch constantly. I tell her that I'm busy and I need to get back to work. I have even tried walking away, but that doesn't work, either. Sylvia follows me everywhere I go. She once had the audacity to ...

Does my wife have HPD

I have been married for the past 1 year and I have been struggling to understand my wife's behaviour until I came across HPD. There are so many aspects of her behaviour that match with HPD symptoms. I am quite worried about the implications.

I had met my wife online and within a few weeks of meeting her we were in love and got married in a few months. We would talk for hours on ...

help plz (bpd)

***moved to significant others, family and friends as it has to do with a family member with bpd***

I suspect my 19 year old daughter has BPD, this condition was suggested to me by the psych team who treated her when she attempted to self harm. She does not believe there is anything wrong with her and refuses to seek treatment.

Living with her was like living a nightmare, I never knew what was going ...

Aging Narcissistic Father Issues

Hello everyone.

This post concerns issues I am having with my father, who is in his eighties. He has a good bit of intellectual narcissism going on. It is possible he also has some sort of undiagnosed bipolar disorder. When he was younger his bipolar tendencies seemed dominant; now that he is older, the narcissism seems more dominant. For some years we were not in contact. Eventually my son (now ten) asked to meet this ...
