new non *trigger* intro (bpd?)

****moved to soff as it has to do with another person's potential disorder***

hi,
I'm a Non new to the forum. I'm afraid to write my situation for some reason. I have a friend I highly suspect has BPD that I've been trying to help. He's in online forums a lot and I fear he would read this someday and see himself- I know crazy. But I never heard of BPD. Until a series of ...

Do you have a bipolar significant other?

Today's been a bad one. She has bronchitis, so everyone in the world drop what your doing and cater to her. I have a ton of stuff I need to get done and she is trying to push her child off on me to babysit for the entire afternoon. I have a bunch of paperwork to fill out for a new job, visit my sick grandmother in the hospital, and bring my car to the ...

EX GF ripped my heart up... Need your input and stories.

Wow. So I need to talk this out and this forum is by far the best for insightful responses… believe me I’ve been to them all.

I’m 90% certain that my ex gf suffers from HPD and concurrently Alcoholism. Her behaviors just fit too perfectly:

1) She’s extremely pretty, but feels the need to be almost exhibitionist about it with her provocative dress. It never bothered me because she was always the hottest girl at ...

NOW what do I do?

I dated my GF for four years. She was diagnosed as Bipolar II about 8 months into the relationship. She was depressed mostly, with occasional hypomanic episodes.

Starting this past spring, things really took a turn for her. She got a new dog, new house, etc.

Cut to the chase. Last month she told me:
(1) she had gone off her meds a few months prior
(2) she had gone into debt $16,000 in just ...

Could it be my problem? (HPD)

I've posted here in the past about dealing with my possibly HPD friend. It's been about a year since
SHE went N/C for a couple of months. I was very distraught during that time and I blamed her poss. HPD for the problems we had.

For the last few months things have been slowly getting better - we're talking more often and she's being friendly towards me again. It's nice, but I feel a sense ...

Children of BPDs

*moved to SOFF with a shadow thread in BPD by MOD*

Hi everyone. I do not have a lot of knowledge about BPD, therefore I would really appreciate any help/suggestions you would be able to provide me with. I am sorry in advance if I will appear insensitive or ignorant, it's unintentional.

My problem is the following: my uncle's girlfriend (let's call her my aunt) has BPD, I'm pretty convinced about this. She fits all ...

New here, bf with Bipolar II

Hi everyone,

I'm new on this forum, so I appologize if I'm not placing my first posting at the right place.

I've been together with my boyfriend for over one year now. Somewhere in the beginning he mentioned he was diagnosed with Bipolar II another psych didn't agree with that and diagnosed him with hypomania. For the first months he was the most gentle, kind and patient man I've ever have come across. We had ...

Narcissistic ex or aspd? child involved

so sorry for the long post! But the devil is in the details.

It has been suggested to me by a psych nurse and a counsellour

that my ex may be a sociopath. Based on pathological lying and manipulation.

Long story as short as I can make it:

We started dating in April 2011. He told me him and his ex had been separated for over a year. I questioned that because he kept talking ...

Friendship with HPD

Hi guys! Thank you for reading!

This is my first post, so in case I put it in the wrong place, please move it to the proper area.

I have (had) and undiagnosed HPD friend. We are both females. The friendship was very draining for me, she appears to be a textbook case: only talks about herself, has to be the center of attention all the time, at all costs.... She believes (or wants to) ...
