That's great, Gang, that you were able to make it a priority to meet the needs of your inside kids. And great that you also were able to do so, littleDaria.

It's always a challenge to cope with different alters moods and stuff. Many of us have spent our lives on the inside, some coming out briefly or fronting for brief periods at a time, so find the 'real world demands' get overwhelming quickly.

And some don't have realistic expectations of what they can do, both ..what the body can do now and what is seen as acceptable in the RW now. Values have changed so much for us... with the body now in it 50's and many of us last being out in the 80's/early 90's. ..some are still stuck in the 80's!!!

Our two main ANP hosts who were up front around 15 years each (at seperate times) have disappeared leaving 'insiders' to go on a crash course on living in the outside world. I have to admit to been so relieved when that first lockdown happened and all social expectation was abolished..we HAD to stay in and isolate! It certainly took the pressure off and gave me time to research and 'catch up' a bit! ..though I feel we're still years behind where we should be!

it doesn't help that this stage of the bodies life seems to be triggering us to switch constantly so no ONE person gets to stay out long enough to learn and put into practise 'being host'. I have to admit to finding it very frustrating!

If all else fails the guardians/changelings do a temporary shutdown before the body completely crashes.

They made the mistake of ignoring things before and leaving one host to cope alone 'outside' and it resulted in a complete breakdown and 9 months in a special unit! They won't make the same mistake twice! it's safer for us to shut down temporarily and 'reboot' after a recovery period, than to push things to the point the body and brain is completely unable to cope anymore. They have learned the human body is not as resilient as the changelings version of 'our body'!

The menopause has been a really steep learning curve for them!! (and we're not even half way through it yet!!)
