Desire for Revenge and BPD

Is the desire for revenge against someone we feel has rejected us a component of BPD?

I have read it, but am looking for personal opinions and experiences here.

Thanks

Newly diagnosed, scared. Am I a bad person?

I was recently diagnosed as having PTSD and BPD. I wasn't really surprised about the PTSD but I had not heard much about BPD. I've been doing a lot of reading, but came across lots of different things that said: "STAY AWAY FROM WOMEN WITH THIS DISORDER!" and "The first thing you should do when you find out they have BPD is RUN!!!!"

I've been going over and over my past relationships to see what ...

Leaving someone with BPD thats not financially stable

So after reading the symptoms of BPD, I am pretty sure I am living with a BPD sufferer. Our relationship started off great but took a turn for the worse as time went on. She takes medication for a disease she has(pain pills) In the beginning it seemed like a necessary evil, but lately she takes tons of the stuff claiming pain. I knew what I was getting into regarding the disease but I had ...

Is there something appealing about a narcissistic person

with BPD? I'm not in the medical field nor I have I seen the records, psychiatric and otherwise of the person I'm guessing has npd/bpd, something like that. Input would be appreciated.

I have worked with the company I'm at for 2 years now and have seen and briefly worked with a girl that I thought was a bit irritating. These past 2 weeks, I have been working along side her everyday and have really ...

Vertical Horizon? Songs about BPD?

So I'm lame and like Vertical Horizon...

But I noticed something...
These lyrics seem to talk about BPD... or am I reading too far into this?
I've just been listening to them a lot and thought it sounded so... familiar...
If they're not meant to be about BPD... well they're relatable to me anyway...

Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning - Sounds like a Non that got left by his BPDer
So you sailed ...

Amazing, helpful article explaining bpd/up to date too!

DBT Understood
Extreme Emotion, Problem Behaviors and BPD: Dialectical Behavior Therapy’s Bio-Social Theory
By Christy Matta, MA

What makes some people able to manage life’s daily stresses and burdens with equanimity, while others experience an emotional rollercoaster when they hit even the slightest bump in the road? Are they simply built differently? Is it a result of a better childhood? Traumatic experiences? Our DNA?

People diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) often experience some of ...

New...therapy issues. Please help!

Hi...I'm new here, but a long time lurker. Reading everyone's stuff on this forum has given me so much insight and has made me feel far less alone in my own head.

I'm almost positive I have BPD, but I don't have the confidence to suggest this to doctors. Rejection in any aspect KILLS me. I have my first therapy session today (had a meet and greet last week) and I don't know how to ...

I Think I May Have Figured Out One of My Problems

Over the past few years, I've come to realize that my identity is an inconsistent mess. I don't want to say I've grown used to that, but I have become fairly complacent and apathetic about it over the last year or so.

What I've realized recently, though, is that barring the idea that I don't even know who I am, my problem seems to be rooted in the fact that I honestly don't know who ...

Hi. [Non-BPD] Intro and a question about cheating (Trigger)

Right, this is going to be a novel, sorry for that. Also, for BPDs here, no offence meant.

I am a non, currently in 4 month relationship with a girl with BPD. She also has a couple of other F's slapped in front of her name. She is undergoing therapy, taking meds and is generally pretty aware of her condition, as much as it is possible, I suppose. Also full of unfounded insecurities, about her ...
