Awtizteek Id Diffuzieon

Do people on this web-site find me egotistical? Self-centered? Even when I communicate with people on web blogs, I still feel as though I come across as self-centered. I apologize if I do.

My paradoxies

I have AS and I'm obsessed with underground hip-hop music.

I had a neurological profile examination done and the psychologists implied that I couldn't be creative cause I'm appear to be too "systematic" and logical. But my parents and the ...

Eye contact

Hey. This is my first time on these forums. It's great how they're pretty active.

I was wondering how well other people with aspergers can keep eye contact here. I have never been able to keep contact because when I do I can't listen, think, or do anything else except observe the details of their eyes...so I've always had to look away when talking or listening so i can basicly use my brain and think. ...

Never been so alone

First off, I apologize for even writing this. I used to tell myself that maybe someone might read something I had to say and be helped in some way. Truth is, I just feel better telling something to the Internet than letting it ring in my head. Either way I've done nothing, but at least tomorrow I can look at this post and pretend I did.

So, anyway, I just spent five days in the ...

Can an aspie get a girlfriend?

Is it possible for aspies to get a girlfriend who would accept the strange things we aspies do or thinking patterns, and in the age of 18-25?

As for my case it is very difficult.

First of all, I would like someone to take care of me, to make me relax when nervous and such. And someone to love.

But I dont like when people touch me. This obviously contradicts with having a girlfriend.

Whats ...

what gifts are appropriate for 13 year old with asbergers

I have a 13 year old relative (boy), who loves music, computers and games.

He has a guitar, but we are not allowed to buy him an electric guitar. We can't buy him any games, parents say no.

He likes gadgets and neat stuff like that.

Does anyone have any ideas on gifts? Perhaps links to a website (s) that offer neat gifts for an asbergers child.

Thanks

Asperger in the Kindergarte - What can we do

Our 5 years old son has been diagnose Asperger. Even though we do not desagree completely with this diagnostic, he seems to be a very light one. The main problem we think is affecting him is understanding social unspoken rules. Specially in the Kindergarten we get a lot of complains from the teacher because he needs a lot of attention to complete the classroom written assigments. When we ask him what is happening, he mentioned ...

curious about my daughter

I have posted several times before and I have been avidly reading all the posts thus far. I hope someone here can help me again. This site has always had invaluable information.

Anyways, this concerns my daughter. She is 21 months old. Verbally she knows under 15 words, she typically points or grunts (sometimes she says "deet") if words are used she is usually mono-syllabic. She slaps her face, quite hard at times, she even ...

Help! Authorities won't help with Asperger's diagnosis

I'm feeling rather desperate at the moment. I've suspected for a long time that my son age 13 has Asperger's syndrome, or is at least a borderline case. I've read loads on the subject and he has too many of the symptoms to be coincidental. The trouble is I have been pushed from pillar to post with this by the authorities in my city. Finally I got told to write an explanatory letter to the ...

Is this Asperger's?

I'm totally alone in the world. All my family (including extended family, relatives) have cut contact with me. My sister even got a restrain order a few years ago so I'll never see again the 3 kids I helped raise for 13 years. I was fired from my dream job 3 months ago, after 5 years of very good service to the company. All the friends I made through life either left me or treated ...
