What I love about my schizoid partner (LONG)

First of all, let me say that my boyfriend has not been diagnosed with SPD, and I don’t think he’d like the idea. In a way, I don’t like it either, as it seems to me that in many cases it’s not a disorder at all. I myself have been through an eating disorder and depression, and I’m deeply convinced that for any type of behaviour or personality to be considered ‘disordered’, the absolutely crucial ...

Rage As Teacher

This is taken from the book Women Who Run With Wolves. It really speaks to me so i hope it speaks to u 2. All emotion, even rage carries knowledge, insight. Our rage can for a time become teacher... a thing not to be rid of so fast, but rather something to climb the mountain for, something to personify via various images in order to learn from, deal with internally, then shape into something useful ...

Hi

Wow how things move fast on this forum... I've had a bumpy couple of months and thought I'd share a little for the fellow BPD'ers out there and to say that I may be around a bit more now.

So 4 months ago I ended up in hospital pretty bad OD'ed, slashed my tendon in my hand and detox. Oh the dramas of a normal week for me, just x100... Anyhow after having surgery on ...

Worried

I guess you guys, who are here here quite long, already heard dosens of similar thing so, you don't need to answer. I just want to share my story and worries, because there ain't a lot of people to talk to.

As long as I can remember, I used to hang out with younger kids but I guess that wasn't apparent when I was a kid myself. However, when I was around seventeen, some kids ...

I think she has NPD.....am I doing the right thing?

I have an in law and she is making me fee like I'm crazy. She is a decade older than I am but acts like she's a decade younger. I am positive she's got NPD....every link I find with diagnoses lists has every single trait she posseses. If she is not...then she is just completely out of touch with other peoples emotions.

Basically, we used to be very close freinds and then had a falling ...

Torn: should I confront her or just let it go? Poss trigger

So I recently learned from my Dad something about my mom that appalls me. I have spoken to my older sister, who doesn't remember much, but verifies at least part of the story. For those of you who don't know, I was estranged from my Dad and his side of the family for most of my life.

My mom, for years, told me that my Grandmother "kidnapped" me and my sister. This would have been ...

My first post - I need help

Hello

This is my first post and the first time I have spoken about all my fears and feelings publicly. I guess I thought this might be the place to finally be able to speak to people that understand, that might be able to empathize and point me in the direction of finding how to control my condition.

I was diagnosed with DID last year. I guess I always knew something was different with me. ...

Aspie Art: Expression

I'm an artist, and I'm just now realizing something about my work. Depending on my mood, I either do portraits or cartoons. But I've noticed one constant. When I draw faces, there are three possibilities. Either they are smiling (happy), frowning/grimacing (angry), or there's no expression at all. I'm just now realizing that this is because I simply have great difficulty connecting to anything in between joy and anger. I know that many artists, when ...

Vast majority of people with mental health issues...

The vast majority of human beings that are in pain in the mental health industry are nothing more than a pay check as far as the mental health bureaucracy is concerned. What do I mean, let me be perfectly clear, the mental health industry is nothing more than a big -Ponzi Scheme-? If you saw and heard what I did in years of observations across whole areas of the mental health industry and only saw ...
