I dont see a difference between what the general public calls surrounding yourself with positive people änd aperson with npd or N traits or whatever surrounding thmselves with supply sources. Both exist for the same reason-validation.

I realize the real answer is going to vary depending on a lot of factors.

In this case, it would be to protect a sixteen year old from her 23 year old predatory internet stalker. They have a hot/cold relationship thing going on. It costs her a lot of time and makes her family feel unsafe for her on a regular basis.

So since a few days I realize my antisocial tendencies, perfectionism and ability to manipulate (and the joy I have doing this) and obsession with control fit perfectly into the NPD diagnosis.
