Hi all,

I had a question, In one of the forums I moderate, bipolar, there are alot of posts regarding voices. These voices are not voices outside the head, like in psychosis, and are not related to this dx.

One member mentioned that she was diagnosed with ptsd w/ dissociative features, in response to the above posts.

Is this a feature that is common with DID?

I am also dx'd with ptsd, bipolar, BUT not ...

I'm not going to go into a full life-story scenario here, but I will give the basics.

I stumbled upon this message board and noticed that a lot of the members refer to themselves as 'we' and 'us'. I understand what you mean, but wanted to ask if someone would do that without having DID. I do that very often, but push myself to say 'I' when I don't want to be questioned. Usually, the 'we' just comes out....but sometimes 'we' and 'I' in the same sentence. I'm sorry if this is ...

From what I've read, it seems that integration is the best outcome for DID. I have found this to be true in my case, but I have visisted other DID sites and have found a fair amount of resistance to even the word "integration". I would be interested to know how others with DID feel about integration.

When I was 22, my fiance of 2 years left me for my (now ex) best friend. They are married now and have a baby. It was devastating as we'd planned on having a future together. Losing my best friend was rough, too and realizing that she wasn't the nice ...

I have a female friend who has a male alter. The alter is adult and sexually active but has self image issues that keep him from feeling whole.

Is there anyone here who can help them with this issue? Anyone else living with an alter of the opposite sex?
