Someecards I'd like to share

Hello, I havent been around here for a little while!
I found some cards on someecards that I found really relatable and kind of funny, so I thought I'd share them with other BPD folks on here.
They are meant to be taken lightly, so I hope no one finds them offensive in any way! I like to laugh at myself from time to time.

For when you "fall in love" (or rather become obsessed ...

I'm feeling like writing a little bit about me, my feelings and my life, my psychiatrist said Im bipolar, but I believe I'm BPD.
When I were a kid I always felt different from everybody that was around me, like when i was sitting in my chair in school, sometimes I stared at everyone enjoying the class and participating and I felt I wans't part of that scene. I've always been a very impulsive and ...

Dear BPD, Define "Friend"?

From the perspective of ones who have the BPD, can you please define what is a friend in your perspective? I'm so confused about this, being a friend to a borderline myself. Please help the non-borderlines understand by laying out definitions to define a friendship from the perspective of a borderline. Below are some questions to help spring ideas. Remember the answers should be from someone who is sick with this disorder.

Who can be ...

Reality *is* such a drag (Edited)

It's understood that each person with a diagnosis can be at different stages in recovery and treatment.

I cant get much right-or done- until I get tough with myself. I wade in a piddle pool of ridiculously petty and pathetic peeves , turning them into the problem that would end life on earth as I know it.

Thing can be worse. I could have real problem. Like being homeless with nowhere to go in winter ...

Non parents struggling with adult daughter

We are in a struggle with our adult-aged daughter (21), who has BPD. From the day she turned 18, she has refused meds, therapy and "fired" her psychiatrist. She has a host of services available to her, including a 3 to 6 month short-term day program which includes DBT. She does not like the rules of our house, which are few: no strangers in the house after 10 pm, no damaging of walls, doors, dishes, ...

I suspect my "friend" may have BPD, how to maintain things?

I'm sure this topic has been covered on this forum, but was hoping for a bit of a deeper insight. It's very possible that I may just be playing 'google doctor' here, but maybe someone here could shed some insight.

I met this person a little while ago and we went from being strangers to very close friends in the matter of a few weeks. She told me all about her life and got me ...

finding self worth, and supporting GF with BPD

My girlfriend has been diagnosed with BPD. She's been a hugely positive influence on my life, and while there is certainly a plethora of atypical aspects to the relationship (as much from my quirks as hers), I typically like atypical things. She means the world to me.

I want to do my best to support her. She suffers in this world; I feel intimately that she does. She's had a difficult life, and has been ...
