Rant: frustration!

OK, so I had a pretty good week last week, and it was really nice, but it didn't last and this week has been way too frustrating :(

Superficially I cope with most things, and at work I suspect no one knows anything is wrong, but in the last week I have seen several examples of the worst of human behaviour in social terms, and I just ...

I feel like I could explode today.

I feel like I did the other day when I was mouthing off and generally trying to be as offensive as I could. I'm not going to do that, but I'm in the same mood where I just feel like I could pop out of anger.

Last night I went to MMA and I went to a subway afterwards because I felt depressed as f**k. This cute redhead was standing in front of me and ...

Colours

I don't think I've come across a thread on this before so here goes:

I hate the colour purple. Well, hates the wrong word, it offends me somehow/way in that I can't stand to be near it and I think I almost feel what may be described as claustrophobic. If I see a wall papered/coloured in it or even a level / area on a video game shaded in it etc etc I will not ...

How Asperger's is portrayed in the media?

Hi, im currently doing a study for a university paper asking wether Asperger's is accuratley portrayed in the media today.

Does anyone think that the portrayal of Aspergers (in popular shows such as sherlock) has a detremental affect on its public perception? Do you think it is portrayed accuratlety in the media today? Do you see changes in the public perception of Aspergers syndrome compared to previous decades?

Would be so grateful for your honest ...

Maladaptive Daydreaming and AS?

Most of my problems with life is how boring I find reality. My AS makes it quite difficult to make life more eventful because I prefer doing things on my own. I have people I dive with and people I climb with, but our friendship is purely professional so to speak. I don't like doing anything but climbing or diving with them, and when we do talk, it's just about our diving or climbing endeavors. ...

What do you do in a relationship?

Not that I was "at risk" of getting into one, but lately I´ve started hanging out with a friend again who has been with her bf for about six months now and as nice as it is to see them happy and loved up, I could not help but wonder wtf they (or people in relationships in general for that matter) do to kill all this time they spend together. While I imagine it to ...

What is the right thing to do?

I have, until about a year ago, known what is right.

The correct thing to do is: wake up, go to school, be there, go to the library or straight home, stay there, maybe do some homework, play games and watch TV, sleep. Repeat.

During summer it is even easier, just sleep, eat and wonder around, looking at plants and stuff.

What is also right is what my parents or social workers or teachers said. ...

Can some one throw me an objective opinion?

Alright, I hallucinate when I'm tired. When I'm desperate for some sense of stability I begin to carry weak delusions (I say weak because I can see they're nonsensical, but I wish they were true and sometimes have trouble stopping them). I have nearly all of the positive AS traits, and as for the negatives - on a good day, I've gotten so good at pretending to be a normal person no one can tell ...

Is there anything wrong with still watching cartoons?

My brother came over and saw me watching SpongeBob and called me childish...I have been known to watch marathons of SpongeBob, or something on Disney, or keep the channel on Nickleodeon all day. Is there anything WRONG with that? I mean, I watch my fair share of adult shows as well--Dexter, White Collar, mostly crime and mystery dramas...When movies come out, let me be the first to say: I waited to see the Lorax first ...

New "Mom" of aspie here...lotsa questions!!!

Hi, all. I am in a fairly new, but committed, relationship (friends for years before) with a wonderful man after both of us exited from marriages with personality disordered spouses. This also puts me in the position of assuming a sort of substitute mom role to his 2 sons, aged 14 and 16. They are with us nearly 1/2 time and we are forging a solid relationship, as well. (My 3 children are all adults ...
