right now i am taking risperdal but i do not get it because i am not a schizophrenic or bipolor just depression with social anxiety disorder

it said in teh ######6 pamphlet that this ###$ MEDICINE was for bipolar and schizophrenia and that it was an anti-psychotic so why is the ######6 psychiatrist giving it to me when i have recieved no more diagnosis than depression and social anxiety disorder
