Advice please, is my bf suffering from BPD?

Desperately seeking advice, is my boyfriend suffering from BPD?

Hi all, I'm just looking for some advice if possible as I think that my boyfriend may be suffering from BPD and I fear that it is ripping us apart. :O(

Yet again, last night, a row that should have been very small escalated into epic propotions and resulted in my boyfriend by his own admission "shutting his feelings" down for me and closing off. I ...

I'm NEW - are HPD's greedy/hoarders?

Hi I'm new to this forum..

I know of someone who displays strong qualities of someone with HPD (not professionally diagnosed) and I was just wondering if in anyone's experiences with the disorder.. do they display greediness? Also do they display jealousy if someone has something that they dont -- in my case the person I know of is obsessed with pictures and getting their hands on pictures of any random event.. and if they ...

need advice about my child being bullied

My son has been having trouble with a particular boy picking on him. He was shoved and pushed two days in a row by the same boy and his friend. He reported this to the school. After the boys shoved my son, my son called the boy a name. He has been given the option to either sit down and talk with this boy or do detention for calling the other boy a name. He ...

Aspies through history

Been thinking a bit about what sort of lives people with Aspergers would have had before computers, engineering became so prevalent.

I expect that a lot probably became monks
    Very structured daily routine
Few possessions, not much to organise
Lots of time spent alone in quiet thought
Communal living, so not required to fend for oneself
    No sexual relationships, low libido
Rote copying of bibles, requires attention to detail rather than creativity
    Time to pursue ...

Things you wish you hadn't said

I'm sure a few more will come back to mind in a bit but to start with.

At primary school, to another boy in my class.
"You're breath really stinks you know, and has done ever since the day you came to school and said you had been burgled"

On the first night at university I told some girl who said she was going to be studying literary criticism that whole subject was entirely pointless, ...

Does an uBPD partner know from the start?

Here's a question. My apparently now uBPDxgf, ( I've been split black for 3 months, no contact, no explaination ) , when things were going really really well, and we were talking about getting married, asked on a couple occasions, out of the blue, "So, what would it take to push you away? You know, to the point where you wouldnt even want to be around me any more." I just laughed and said "I ...

Structural Psychology

Has anyone else read this Structural Psychology theory? http://structuralpsy.org/Map.html

I found that site looking up various autism things and got quite hooked. Actually I read the whole thing in one sitting, which was cool for a number of reasons. Firstly I hadn't seemed to have been able to concentrate on anything for more than about 5 minutes for the last few months, so spending several hours doing the same thing seemed like a big achievement. ...

My BF has depression - any advice?

Hi, I am looking for some advice and help on depression. My BF is alcohol dependent, but first and foremost he has unipolar depression. He does drink when he is going through a 'good period' mentally but the drinking becomes more severe when he is very low.

He talks about having a dark side and that he hates himself etc and has suicidal dark thoughts. I don't have any experience of dealing with these issues ...

I just want it to end

Hi everyone,

I'm a guy new to the forums. I dunno if I feel like writing the novel that is my life, so I'll try to keep it short. I'm a guy in my 30s, and my parents divorced when I was young. My mother was the sweetest mom in the world.

She passed away due to complications of diabetes a few years ago and for economic reasons I was forced to move in with ...
