I think I would fail Spanish also. I avoided foreign languages like the plague.

Unfortunately taking a foreign language is required for my major so I'll have to retake the class. At least this time, it's with a different teacher so maybe things will be better next time around. The Spanish teacher I had this semester was so unhelpful.

Been there done that. Just hang in there and I am sure you will do much better the second time around and with a better teacher.

Viola and Cid,

Sorry that foreign languages are difficult for you.

Both of our parents were Spanish teachers. When we were a kid, they used to talk to each other in Spanish when they didn't want us or our brothers to understand them. We/MDs told our parents, "When I grow up, I'm gonna learn Spanish, so you won't be able to do that anymore."

We've always been good with languages (English and foreign). That is, "romance" languages, which include French, Spanish, Italian, Latin, and Portuguese. We speak Spanish and a little French, and can guess our way through the others based on our knowledge of the first two.

We got our BA in English. It's a useless degree if you don't want to be a teacher, but it was the easiest major for us--that is, after we changed it three times. :P

Body cis ♀ (1962). Realized 1996 that we're multiple. System of 47, all cis: 42 ♀, 5 ♂; 17 littles (0-7+), 9 middles (8-11+), 14 teens (12-17+), 5 bigs (18+), + formless yin/yang.

Oh! I'm sorry to hear that Viola :/

I also hope your new teacher is much better than the last one.

Hi Viola,

We had a lot of problems with language classes. We kept switching so nobody ever knew the whole language! It was kind of awful. We didn't do that much with other classes. Don't know why.

I think I have that problem with most of my classes, since I never realize until later, usually when I'm being tested on something I know I've seen before but can't remember how to do it.

Hello!
If Spanish is hard maybe check out German; I had a lot easier time with it than French.

Thanks for talking to Littlecage Iain; they're hard to reach.

My switching slowed down... I was very good at working today, lots of upkeep type things and a paper read. I'm in a weird place; sometimes I'm balling because it one of those times of the year and other times I'm looking around, adjusting to a new life, by Gods provision? It's a more boring but much much safer existence I have today

Hi Samsland,

I hear you. Sometimes we get sad and mad too. Hope things are better now.
