Strange "near" near death experience

Yes, it was a NEAR as you can get, near death experience. When I was trying so hard to withdraw from klonipin. One night I was convinced, no doubt in my mind that I was going to die in the next few days. I had a car wreck a couple of months before and had decided in my mind that one of my ribs was somehow pushing into my liver, my blood sugar was over ...

social anxiety's effect or something else?

hi,

I seek help here, for i think it might be a good prelude for further investigation.

I have friends and enjoy being with them, but I can't stand being in places such as bars or clubs or even open spaces for I feel overexposed. As a result I don't speak much in social situations that occur in unfamiliar places, or with too many people and therefore seem dull, and feel boring.
I'd really like ...

What makes for good relationships?

I recently posted the thread asking what is the most common issue in relationships. People responded saying it was lack of good communications. Therefore, I am led to believe a key ingredient in a good relationship is good communication.

I also think when two people are in a good relationship, it brings out the best in them. Not that they heavily rely on each other to be "whole" or anything that requires leaning on somebody ...

Bipolar I or Bipolar II? Anything else?

Hey, I skimmed through many articles on Bipolar, SSRIs, Manic episodes, etc., and now am confused on how to diagnose myself. I experience mixed moods quite severely. During my mixed moods, I have no ambition, can't find joy in anything, and find it nearly impossible to fix myself. My longest lasting mixed mood state of mind was 4-5, maybe 6 days, until I decided to begin taking my Lamictal. After beginning my Lamictal, I started ...

What is so appealing about a narcissist

with BPD? I'm not in the medical field nor I have I seen the records, psychiatric and otherwise of the person I'm guessing has npd/bpd, something like that. Input would be appreciated.

I have worked with the company I'm at for 2 years now and have seen and briefly worked with a girl that I thought was a bit irritating. These past 2 weeks, I have been working along side her everyday and have really ...

The Narcissistic Mother

Here's an article I've had in my files for a long time... can't give it source credit anymore than what is shown on the bottom line.
It was written by a woman with a diagnosed NPD mother. Her mother is dissimilar than is mine in many ways - she expresses her narcissism differently than does my mother - but the underlying pathology is similar.
From that viewpoint, this was helpful to me. I found this ...

'Racket Aspergers'. Views?

This blog has been doing the rounds.
http://racketaspergers.blogspot.com/200 ... rgers.html
I suppose it's got a point because nobody actually seems to agree about the fine details of what AS entails.
And it's such a strange thing that all of a sudden everybody seems to think that someone in their family may 'have' it. Someone was objecting, the other day, that it's just not a natural way to speak of ...

Every ex boyfriend or husband is a narcissist

I've noticed that the internet is filled with stories posted by women about their horrible narcissistic ex boyfriends and husbands. In fact the majority of stories on this disorder seem to follow those lines.

Hoarder's Forum

Why do we not have one?
I would like to suggest us getting one.

Assuming anyone else on here is a Hoarder...
Maybe it's just me.

I believe it's an OCD trait....
So maybe a subforum in OCD?

IDk... just a thought.
