Is this a phobia that anyone knows the name of

Here are my symptoms. Any time I am in a public place with lots of people near by (theater, sporting event, lecture room, etc) I don't feel like I am just part of the crowd or the audience like a normal person would. Somehow I always feel that I am being put on the spotlight, I get this feeling like people are watching me, what do people want from me, why am I being the ...

Are we here for help or to judge?

I am saddened by what I see throughout the forum for BPD. I see constant judging amongst ourselves targeting not only ourselves but others as well. I am not perfect and have been the perfect poster child for BPD and now I am on the road to recovery and healing. All of it has taken hard work and effort on my part and there is help out there! Dont give up, if your therapist isn't ...

Delusional Disorder - Jealousy

Let me begin by saying that I need a lot of help. For a little over two years my life has been a living hell and getting worse everyday.

I met and fell in love with the most wonderful man. The first three years were absolutely perfect. We were both extremely happy, living together, and planning our future.

Then without cause, he accused me of cheating on him. I reassured him that I was not ...

Am I about to do something stupid?

Now that I have a rudimentary understanding of HPD and it's warning signs, I have discovered a disturbing fact:

I'm surrounded by them!!!
Apparently either I'm an HPD magnet or I'm attracted to them. In fact, I've been so overwhelmed with them I actually thought it was normal behavior for women!!

Now here's the thing:
There's this co-worker who's (by my unqualified opinion) HPD as hell ...

From horrible to worse

I have posted before about my father's abuse, but now I feel like I'm at the end of my rope. I know my father did things to me and made me do things to him, but now he tells me that he forced himself on me at 14. I believe that somewhere in me I always thought that might have been a possibility, but now that it's more real I am terrified. I don't know ...

HPD with Same Gender Friends: Competitive?

I've been studying a few HPDs, mostly females. Some have a few girl friends, but some don't have any close girl friends. They only hang out with guys.

The ones who have girl friends seem to have "fan girls" hanging around, telling the HPDs that they are fantastic and wonderful, or they have one or two close female friends who are large and not physically attractive, therefore, not competition for the HPDs.

Do female HPDs ...

Help!

Been marrried to my wife for 28 years. Never really questioned her lack of enthusiasm for housework, thought she had some spending problems, bought into the idea that she lied to escape my "wrath", and still loved her. Still do. Getting close to bankruptcy but yet still can't get her to make a budget. The house is such a disaster I am to embarassed to have family or friends over. The last person that cleaned ...

Need some Information

Hi,

I'm in the UK and heard recently on BBC Radio 4 a programme regarding Autism and Aspergers. This programme made a lightbulb go on in my head, and may explain a lot of my behavioural, anxiety and social problems.

Anyway, the reason for posting.......

I mentioned the possibilities of this to my counsellor today, and she suggested that I try and find out where I can progress with any form of treatment or where ...

ARGH! In-laws and AvPD (Stories)

Hi, this is for anyone who is married or engaged.(or was married/engaged or in longterm relationship): Do you feel you've been treated badly by in-laws who just don't get AvPD? Are they complete extroverts and look at you/your family as if you're total weirdos? This isn't just a rant about in-laws. Just want to know if there are in-law problems that are unique to AvPD's.

I've ...
