This happened three times last week, and on two occasions I won at the slots early on during my stays. ...

If you think about it, casinos probably want you to win; I'm not talking about some extreme jackpot like megamillions or some other huge life-changing longshot amount that happens to one in 50 million people, although that probably serves its purpose too.

What I am saying is if you win a few hundred or even a few thousand dollars, the casino knows it's like Pavlov's experiment with positive re-inforcement; it ensures you will be back ...

Been away from the board for a while, work is keeping me busy and thankfully gamble free.

I've read some of the recent posts and I can relate to them. Particularly the feelings of despair and feeling physically and mentally sick when you hit rock bottom.

I'm now of the opinion after 20 months clean that the loss of a vast amount of money, including throwing away all of my savings and maxing ...

I ended up going on a successful gambling run and won 8 thousand pounds in profit from that one session but as always I lost it all including my orginal money of 10 thousand pounds. At this stage am disgusted with myself that I lost this much and now it has effected my studying for my exams and it has prevented me from going on a amazing summer holiday.
