Husband NPD I think...HELP

I met my husband a year ago. We have been married for six months and now we are separated. My husband behavior I thought was a bit strange from the beginning, however people were telling me that he was actually a lovely young man. He was just quiet and need a good woman by his side. Now there were problems with him keeping a job once he moved to my city but that was to ...

Just curious...(bpd), moved to soff

***moving this post to soff as it has to do with a former partner who has bpd, a shadow thread will also be left in bpd***

I posted this in the non's to Bpd's post, I don't know how much response it will get there, so forgive me for posting this, if this is not a suitable place for it, and I can delete, or maybe a moderator could move it, my post is:

Can they change? Don't get it...

So my ex-fiancé was a piece of work. She cheated on me, lied to me, stole from me and other exes and even her kids. Lied to her employers, racked up huge debts, and consistently thought of herself as gods gift to the world.

She lied on an Olympic level and didn't care. Cheated on every man she ever knew.

She used to drink every single day and pounded adderall to fuel her. It was ...

Histrionic vs Obsessive-Compulsive mother

*** Moved this thread to the Significant Other Family & Friends forum. You're likely to get more responses this way. I've left a link behind though so you can still find your thread in either forum.***

Hey guys,

Somewhat new to the forum, but has been reading solid material especially on the hpd topic for months now. I pretty much went through a wtf-just-happened breakup with my exhpd gf, had a lightbulb moment. That's when ...

Relationship books for non-bpd mates

Hello, I'm new to the forums. My girlfriend has been diagnosed with bpd for 5 years now, she has had it since her teenage years. We have been together for around half a year, spending practically every day together. We have had 6 break ups in this time and every time it happens, it seems that we take it to the next level and our love gets stronger. I found out she was bpd when ...

Avoidant Ex-girlfriend.. help me understand

*Thread moved to Significant Others, Family & Friends Forum*

BACKGROUND:
She is 24 and I am 30. She has 2 kids and I have none. She had her kids when she was 18 and the guy bailed very shortly after, since remarried. Her last relationship, with another guy from high school, has been on again/off again for 8 or so years. She told me she hadn't been "on" for well over a year. We worked ...

Is not showing up for things an N parent thing?

I don't know that my mom has NPD. Obviously I wouldn't know unless she was diagnosed by a psychologist which obviously wouldn't happen, because she would never go to a psychologist to talk about her problems. But she does have narcissistic traits. So though I've debated it, I think it's safe to say she's somewhat narcissistic, though maybe not NPD. I don't know.

Anyway.

I'm off at college now. Doing well on my own. Better, ...

What disorders have Splitting?

I know that NPD and BDP have Splitting as a trait.

Are there any others? the reason that I ask is that H's brother also engages in splitting, but I don't think he has BPD or NPD. He does have some kind of disorder. He has anxiety issues, can barely leave the house, hasn't worked in over 25 years, he's EXTREMELY cynical and paranoid. He's intelligent. Has a PhD in physics but when he went ...
