Lacking motivation, disillusioned and depressed

I have good days and bad days and am feeling totally unmotivated just now, lethargic and depressed. My therapy sessions seem to have reached a sort of stale mate with long pauses in dialogue between me and my therapist and a sense of anti climax. l had been progressing so well and now l just feel empty and flat. Could anyone shed any light on why this should be? l feel that l need some ...

Friend has BDP and I'm in need of advice

A very important friend in my life and I have been having some issues. We have known each other for a few years, but over this past year we have become very close, talking everyday, but we live pretty far from one another so we only see each other every so often. However, as we became closer earlier last year, he started to become very upset with me over things that didn't make much if ...

Staring at tv static with the sound off for schizophrenia

Hi, Steve Lord here in Santa Barbara , California

Staring at tv snow or static being random all frequency "white noise", puts the viewer in ten seconds into what I believe is a theta brainwave state which continue for as long as the viewer continues to view the static. The internet has many stories of this being a very mentally and physically healing state, and i find it to be just that. Doing so has ...

What do you live for?

As a schizoid there may be no ultimate goal of your life.
You are just wandering the earth and feel that you don't have any special goals or you maybe don't have anything special to do with your life. That's how I feel anyway, and I sometimes stop and wonder...

"What am I staying alive for? If there's nothing here for me, maybe I should just die?".
But when I've been thinking for a while, ...

Finally cut loose xHPDGF

Finally got cut loose from my situation with my xHPDGF.

Ultimately during one of our “disputes” I pulled a “her”. Instead of seeming overly invested in the discussion and filling my argument with emotion, I simply detached myself while expressing clinical concern and understanding for her position. I kept my voice very quiet and relaxed. When she would call me selfish, I simply agreed and told her that I am human and this is something ...

Seeing is believing?

I don't think that you always have to see in order to believe someone or something. But I guess that' s only my opinion.
I don't know what I do wong if I try to be opened and tell the truth. Well, I told my mom that the first memory I have is since I was in the 5th grade. She asked me if I remember this and that from kindergarten and primary school and ...

In spite of pain, resisting social interaction.

I know I'm not the only one here to deal with this, who else here? in social situations has dealt with headaches .. toothaches.. basically severe pain in silence.. simply because social interaction is totally non-bearable.. evan if it's just asking for some medicine which would end the suffering right away. I was at my aunt's home monday or tuesday and my teeth had been hurting really bad so I wasn't going to eat that ...

How to cope with one sided love?

Hi there fellow posters and lurkers,

I recently developed a huge inexplicable crush on a girl who is not looking for a boyfriend and wants to be just friends. I understand her and would want to forget my feelings for her but I just can't control my emotions. I have never felt anything like this before, one moment I'm just fine and next I'm crying like there's no tomorrow ...
