Hey, Cody!

I'm sorry Bren is feeling upset. Sometimes people are mean because they are SURE other people are going to be mean to them, even if they aren't being mean right then.

One of us was probably the one who talked about thanking protectors. Our T is really big on that. I bet your T talks about that also. If someone is being mean, they have a reason that used to help the system a lot, even if it isn't helping anymore. And I don't think it matters what they say back--they will still hear you say thank you. (Not that I'm saying you have to thank Bren or anything, Cody. She probably just as much should be thanking you for whatever you did in the past to help the system).

If everyone keeps talking, then that's good. Anyway, I hope T goes well for you guys today.

We're kind of in a weird place. I don't really know what's going on--I think some littles are upset. It's not even about anything that has to do with the T. It's like someone realized that we're stuck here in the present and never going back to the past. Someone who LIKED things about the past and misses them--that's kind of a new one! Things were pretty lonely then--not sure why they think it was so great. Oh well, they like listening to kids' books--that keeps them calm and going along with things when we don't have time to be crying and hugging a stuffed bear.

I think she feels very left out a lot of the time, kinda too old to enjoy the little kid stuff but still probably not ready to be on her own with the big kids (teens) yet. It makes me mad. I don’t like feeling left out and I’m not a baby. I guess I was replying to asuggestion I saw for a tween thread.

But everyone is very mixed up right now, it’s like the rest of our family, everybody talking over eachother!!

There's also a thread for tweens / pre-teens / middles / bigger kids:

Thank you, I am new and dissociating a whole lot of the time, trouble following instructions or any path of thought. Lots of me so sorry/not sorry if tweens break into teens forum, sounds like something I woukd do.

We had a TOTALLY SUCKY T session and now EVERYTHING is a COMPLETE MESS! I got SO embarrassed because I had to talk about milkshakes to our T and that I get excited sometimes (like ALL THE TIME). OMG! I wanted to crawl under the couch and go away!!!! I love our T but now I don't EVER want to go back and face her because I'm WAY too embarrassed!

Hi Cody!

Wow, you are super brave! We only just let our T see a post of mine that mentioned that stuff. No one would ever let me TALK about it with him. I don't think I would be embarrassed, but lots of others would. They barely let me write about that stuff in our PRIVATE journal and for years I wasn't really allowed to think about it (except when it was actually happening).

So I think it's REALLY good that you talked about that stuff.

We're going to see the T tomorrow. I really love that he always remembers that I'm there even if I can't talk to him, and he has a special signal to tell me that he remembers me.

Sorry you were embarrassed, but know that your T has probably heard it all. Singleton teens talking about milkshakes, adults talking about milkshakes, probably way different "flavors" of milkshakes than any of us could imagine. You might want to tell her next time about how you felt embarrassed, even if you just need some reassurance from her that she's okay with you talking about that stuff.

If you don't mind answering, does any of your discomfort with talking to her come from your being a girl in a guy's body?

Hi MDs,

Thanks. You're right. It's just SUPER hard to talk to her when I'm so F-ing EMBARRASSED!

And yeah it's kind of difficult being a girl in a guy's body. There's like a TON of things I can't do because Host's head would totally EXPLODE! But the thing I was talking to our T about was I LOVE milkshakes - like ALL kinds of milkshakes - even milkshakes that are REALLY NOT GOOD for people. Even milkshakes that the guys in the system are like we aren't EVEN going there! Our T says she understands I'm used to SUPER exciting milkshakes so normal milkshakes are kind of boring.

Hi Cody,

What kind of milkshakes are really not good for people? And what makes a milkshake SUPER exciting?

I mean, the "normal" ones are pretty great, but I don't have a lot of experience, I guess. I'm not even sure exactly what you're talking about.

But it sounds like your T is cool with talking about that stuff. You can probably talk to her about feeling embarrassed--she can probably help you with that feeling.

Thanks everybody. I really appreciate how cool you all are with stuff. I'm OK now - just kind of down. I'm going to talk to our T next week.

Saw this COOL movie the other day - Mail Order Bride. It's about this woman in the 1800s who has to escape this really seriously bad guy so she goes to be a mail order bride up in Montana or someplace. She's not the farm type but she falls in love and then the bad guy finds her and has to fight. Pretty good! I SERIOUSLY needed a happy ending.

Hey! Anybody there????? Did you guys all die or something????

Our T has to go away for 3 MONTHS for a medical thing. The whole system is like doing the CHAOS DANCE. It'll be OK though. She told us she's coming back. Most of us believe her. Just going to suck for a while.
