I'm sorry things are so difficult for you. I hope you're able to heal as quick as possible and sign up for exams again later on. Sending you lots of healing thoughts.

Today we are doing pretty good :)

We've been very very tired since the integration but we're finally starting to wake up more again now. Some of our alters have gone pretty quiet but we're just taking it easy and step by step. Some of the kids got to do some crafts & some drawing today which was nice and in general it's just a quiet Sunday :)

Even better news.
They have to shove metal bones into our flesh to get the bones back in shape...
The backbone is broken but we are luckily not paralysed. Good thing.

It requires more surgery to get them in, surgery to change them every month or so and then surgery to get them out...
Say goodbye to a normal life.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Have you been offered any type of counseling or support group information or such?

I'm thinking of you :)

Today, I went to work, I remember working most of the day, I caught the right bus home, got off at the right spot, my house keys were actually still in my pocket, and it's still light outside!!!! Score a victory for the home team!!!!!

small trigger ? one word used to describe an injury but all is good in the end :D :D :D

The hi-lite of my days these past 2 weeks has been nursing a woodpecker back to health after a nasty fall. He flew into a second story window & plumeted to the stone walkway below breaking his right wing. When I picked him up I thought for sure he wasn't going to make it due to 'blud'-loss but he is back to what I presume to be his normal level of energy. I still have to keep his broken wing bandaged for 2 more weeks until I can test him for flight. I may wait 3 just to be sure.

He has improved so much that I now take him outside 2x each day to play on a tree. He spirals the tree base, working his way up pecking away at ants & other bugs. I'm trying to keep his feet exercised & healthy. Otherwise, he is housed in my bathtub-turned-make shift forest munching on seeds, suet, bread & fruit. He's whippy over apples! So cute.

Tried to upload a picture that I took of him playing on the tree but it was too big, I guess. Don't know much about changing the size of photos. Anyway, when he takes flight it will be an amazing event for me, & no doubt him!

I've attached a picture of him playing on the tree.

I find it very rewarding. Healing too. My T pointed out that I can love & care for a little birdie but find it difficult to take good care for myself. It really has changed my thinking about SI issues. I now have a new appreciation about me  :D
