Every time something in my life improves, something catastrophic has to happen right after. I've finally been able to afford some groceries after weeks of nearly starving and my phone breaks. Out of nowhere. For no apparent reason.

The phone that keeps me in contact with the very few people and resources that I have.

The phone that is my lifeline, and keeps me in touch with clients and potential clients so I can continue putting food in my stomach and change in my pocket.

Here I am, on the verge of another financial crisis on top of the financial crisis I was already suffering. I finally solve the biggest problem: food. Then my only means of acquiring more money, breaks. Without warning and seemingly without reason.

Now I have to hope that the only person who can help pull me out of this will be available to see me soon. Without my phone, I am completely at his mercy.
