How do you guys feel about animals?

You all can blame I_Like_Cats for this topic (started to think about this after reading that name).
I like animals personally at the same time I am not an "animal lover." I tend to think It is weird when people dress up their pets, or treat them lie their kids. This might seem contradictory to what I just wrote, but I do like animals better than humans. I treat pets like pets but enjoy being around them more than their owners.

This is probably one of the most revisited themes here.

I would like to acquire a black, short-haired cat some day -- as a companion, not a snack.

I generally get along well with the usual housepets (dogs/cats). I don't keep them myself. Even the ones that have serious discipline problems or are typically afraid of people tend to like me, often to people's surprise. I think it's that they can tell from my body language that I'm not even remotely aggressive and respect their space.

I'm an animal lover. Dogs, cats, and birds anyway. I like my dog and my cat more than the friends that I have.

I used to like both cats and dogs (and most types of pets, but not spiders)

Recently, I have reconsidered my liking of dogs as pets. I like dog and all, my own included, but they require you to take them on walks and take them out when they need to use the bathroom (I don't have a fenced yard) and you have to play with them. As nice as my dog is, I am too lazy for that. I am usually the one who is stuck with that when I'm home, and taking my dog outside is annoying during the winter especially. I think I'm done with dogs after this one, even though she's a sweetheart and shes adorable.
The effort is just too annoying.

I think I'd like a cat. I had some when I was a kid and I really liked them. They are just so mellow and relaxed.

Overall, I like animals, but I prefer low maintenance pets.

I generally get along quite well with animals. Sometimes thought of abandoning my current career to spend more time with them.
