Man this is all so true, mind you i got a dog because i need to exercise a bit so to encourage my self to walk routinely like i used to do Otherwise i would never get out of the house anymore as college is finished and i have no job and i don't spend much money on myself. Most of my money goes to caring for my dog or into the savings.cobra cat wrote:I used to like both cats and dogs (and most types of pets, but not spiders)
Recently, I have reconsidered my liking of dogs as pets. I like dog and all, my own included, but they require you to take them on walks and take them out when they need to use the bathroom (I don't have a fenced yard) and you have to play with them. As nice as my dog is, I am too lazy for that. I am usually the one who is stuck with that when I'm home, and taking my dog outside is annoying during the winter especially. I think I'm done with dogs after this one, even though she's a sweetheart and shes adorable.
The effort is just too annoying.
I think I'd like a cat. I had some when I was a kid and I really liked them. They are just so mellow and relaxed.
Overall, I like animals, but I prefer low maintenance pets.
I also pay my parents a some living expenses (food, i don't have to pay for the unlimited internet access luckily) every week but my benefits are enough to live but you all know life is never simple so i just had to get that one dog that acts completely different to its dog rescue sanctuary counterpart and chews like a queen everything but the sofa and the dinner table. She even chews the corners of the dinner table's chairs. Luckily we have a back garden she can use for toilet and playing around though strangely we have to be close by otherwise she just sits there. Poor you, you have to take her outside all that time ha!
Although i think karma might of bit me in the rear after that statement laughing about your lazy self having to go outside for dog toilet duty every time you are the only one there. Since my mum who is home today from work is making me go with her to take the dog to the park today at lunchtime... I mean i took her to the park and stayed there quite long just a few days on my own initiative instead of just walking her to near the tunnel entrance thing and back
Despite that, now i have to go again my lazy self grumbles to itself in my mind. Like i said the regular walk isn't that much different to the park walk but mind you i built up to that 10 to 15 mins fast walk and the park adds a good 30 mins minimum walking/letting the dog of the leash time but these park walks are even longer with my mum who loves to walk miles and my dog ain't gonna complain but my mostly hermit legs will certainly moan to their connected brain lol.
I also can't listen to music on these walks without bothering to charge my phone as its always dead since it fell out of one of my hoodie pockets into the toilet for a brief few seconds and that broke the power button function and thus i got an app that allows me to turn it on with the volume buttons and dim the screen but its still on all the time and the ways around having on all the time are such a hassle such as having the battery out all the time and only putting it in when i need to use my mobile (which ain't much) so if i left it out with a 100% charge, it would still be there

Anyways back onto the topic. My dog is also a very active mix of breeds and technically needs a lot of walks but who could resist getting her man i say no one who knows only her cute side lol. I am not joking, she is so gosh damn cute but she kind of hates anyone that isn't me, my dad or my mum (they help out) who comes into my house and she loves her food and growls at anyone who comes near unless its us. Her bark is very loud for the small medium sized dog she is and she can easily deafen you sometimes
