When you are hypo/manic do you ever feel like someone else?

I mean, you know you are you, but it feels like a whole different you to the extent that you don't even think your name fits anymore? sigh. I am beginning to think I am in deeper than I thought. When I go hypo, i dont feel like me, I call the me I am then Alex. Shes like the super confident, sassy, spunky version of myself. I know I am still me, but I ...

Auditory hallucinations?

I am just connecting two and two now...I realize that for years, I have "heard" what sounds like people calling my name or what sounds like a radio on, or the tv on (I have even went so far as to check if the tv was still on and it wasn't). in an old house of ours, it sounded like there were kids playing in the basement. It comes and goes, it certainly isnt consistent, ...

Panic attack as a side effect? Which drug?

I started 25 mg of lamotrigine and 20 mg of citalopram over the weekend. Needless to say, I must be very sensitive, as I have had a ton of side effects from the meds, from tiredness to restlessness, tremors, jaw clenching, anxiety, lower appetite(not complaining about that one...) and now we can add a fricking panic attack. Took the lamotrigine at night, within an hr my breath was short, my chest felt weird, i couldnt ...

Projection with a twist?

It is well-known that it is common for HPDs to deny what they are feeling and project these feelings onto others as a sort of psychological defense mechanism.

But is it possible/common for HPDs to project what they are feeling toward one person onto someone else? For example, a HPD says she misses Person A but she actually misses Person B, and does not really care for Person A.

Completely loose control when I binge,

I've been a binge eater my entire life. It wasn't until about three years ago that I understood I have a mental condition. It is a endless struggle of keeping my mind in check. Sometimes I can go for days without even the smallest urge, some days I can't stop eating, no matter what. I can fight it sometimes but usually the urge is so strong that my mind simply turns off and I go ...

Obsession Over Any Damage and with Tearing-up Trash Papers

I believe I definitely have O.C.D., but it mostly has to do with trying to avoid scratches, marks, and stains/snags (to clothes, occasionally) to certain belongings, and then checking them frequently and for long periods of time if I suspect that they are damaged. I'm more paranoid over favorite things, like jewelery, purses, nick-nacks, and even smaller/lesser things like a favorite pen, but not so much larger things such as furniture, my computer, my car, ...

Cora reclaims herself. Grows up. Kills everything.

CORA RECLAIMS HERSELF. GROWS UP. KILLS EVERYTHING.

There occurred gigantism in Cora's heart.
It spread like birds scattering to all corners of her body
until eventually
there was no fire her nostrils failed to extinguish through exhaling.

Could not contain her own girth,
crushed Hell with the ball of one foot and
collected drool in her gargantuan mouth.
Intended to drown him but drowned
everything.

She disguised her mouth as a false beach.
She ...

Help Me

I think I have Dysthymia because most of my depression symptoms match the criteria for it.

http://www.allaboutdepression.com/dia_04.html

I am tired and very withdrawn most of the time. That and life has beaten the hell out of me. My other posts can tell you that. I do go to a doctor but I won't see her again until May. I will tell her what's been going on.
