Seen any good movies lately?

I guess it takes a while for movies to cross the ocean. What's playing in theaters over there now? We just got The Informant, Jennifer's Body, and In the Loop. That last one is Brit, right? Was it out over there a while back?

I kinda want to see Jennifer's Body... could be good.... i'll likely watch it.

In the Loop? - I've never heard of it before, but Jennifer's Body sounds interesting - What's it about? Courtney Love has a song called Jennifer's Body, so I'm wondering if there's a link...? Over here, Dorian Grey, District 9, and - ummm, that's all that I can think of - are in the cinemas. I don't generally go to the cinema. I used to go every weekend effectively with my 1st girlfriend Lorna and/or my computer science friends, but I can't recall the last time I've been now.

Yes, that event is famous in Irish history. It is called the 'blanket and dirty' process, but what more could they do? They had no toilets in those cells and were treated worse than dogs. Things in Ireland have improved immensely now thuogh, and British and Irish people are living side-by-side in 'harmony'. there are still areas up there (in Northern Ireland) that you just wouldn't go through though. Belfast is turning into a 'neat' little city though, and all the better. I think that aesthetics can play a part in the recovery of this ~80 year civil war.

Hunger never played in theaters here. I checked out Jennifer's body. Not so good. Soundtrack was interesting. The Sceeching Weasel version of I Can See Clearly now was cool.

I saw In the Loop today. It was a very funny political satire. Recommended.

Die Another Day is on the TV right now and it's abyssmal. Pierce Brosnan is Irish and all but he's a jerk, and this film is atrocious. I can't believe that the guys behind the James Bond series let this be released.

Didn't that one have Halle Berry in it? Any movie with her can't be all bad.

It sure did, and the sexual inuendo in the movie was horrendous. I really cannot criticise this movie enough - it was just awful. Notice how I wrote 'gmail.com' in my previous post though... ...I must have typed it in there, thinking that I was typing it in the URL box!
