Seen any good movies lately?

Forget about mental illness for a while and just let loose in here.

I was looking forward to Dorain. They made a film of it way back in 1945. It was good for it's day but could use an updating. Now I am seeing that early reviews ar not good. Not terrible, but they say it is boring. I'll probably see it anyway. I love that Dorian Gray guy. I want to have a pic like that which gets old while I stay young!

You're right actually - i remember watching the earlier version of the film. It was in B&W, wasn't it? I enjoyed watching it, but I can't imagine enjoying thris modern one. Who's playing Dorian in it? He obvviously has to be some handsome dude - Is it you, Parador? :)

I just looked it up on IMBD and see that there was a 2004 remake that got poor reviews. The original Dorian was an actor named Hurd Hatfield. He never got very famous for anything else. Here's a little blurb about him from imdb -

Like Dorian Gray, Hurd Hatfield maintained a good, relatively youthful appearance well into his seventies. He credited this to the fact that he neither drank nor smoked and exercised regularly.

Yes - it is in B&W. The cover of the video is in color though. Yes, I have a copy that I haven't watched. I got it for $1 at a shop in Boston in the spring.

The Dorian Gray character showed up in Sean Connery's last movie - The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Stuart Townsend played Dorian in that film. He made a great suoperhero. You could stab him and shoot him up with guns but it had no effect. Heck, he could fight it out with Wolverine! That would make a cool movie.

no lol it's not about the butt, the whole story is fantastic. Better then all the X-men movies and i really enjoyed those too.
Part of the X-men were filmed here in Ontario actually, was cool to see familiar things.

That's exactly what it is, it's how he got to who he was in X-Men, fantastic movie.

I've literally seen all new movies that have been out etc.... There are some great ones out there.

The last house on the left- or whatever that was called was a good movie too, triggering and creepy, but good.

Also there's a movie called Eden Lake- weird I didn't dislike it and I didn't love it.

Angels & Demons another FANTASTIC movie if you like Dan Brown a must see.... for sure.

Yes, I remember that - It was a rather strange movie, but I have it copied onto a CD (yes - a CD - believe it or not; major video compression involved). It would be bad for the mental health to remain forever young like him I think. It's best to fit in and go through life as everyone else does, I think.

It would probably be best to put on makeup to make yourself look older if you were Dorian I guess. But when I hit the age where I couldn't score with young hotties that would be IT!! I would have to fake my death and start life over somewhere else.

They made a couple of films in VT back in the 90s - What Lies Beneath and Me Myself and Irene. It was pretty strange to see places I know on the big screen. I wouldn't have recognized the video store though. They turned it into a camera shop for the shoot of What Lies Beneath. But they didn't put it in the film.

And I still think you want Hugh's butt!!!
