Gee. Where the ###$ is that reference from.

NicS? Simple: Nic S[lastname]. Were supposed to keep anonymity, and that's cool, but at the same time we wanted to make our name obvious should someone want to do a background check and find us here. That, or we couldn't think of one. Sorry, kids!

'scuse me? i don't understand the sarcasm, sir. we call ourselves that, for The Facet Brigade is the name of our system, and the ones within are the Troops. if you would like the lengthy personal reasons for our system name, i can give it, but, i honestly see no reason for you to have replied the way you did. i don't understand your statement about a 'reference' either. i was trying to keep it simple, is all.

My name is the Welsh word for snowdrop. I love snowdrops and always see them as symbols of hope.

I've only used Eirlys as a username on one other forum and that was for people with DID too which is making me ponder a bit on who Eirlys is and whether she's the only one who believes our experience to be true. A lot of the time I have trouble with minimising my experience or telling myself I'm not traumatised enough to have 'proper DID'. Whether or not I do, under pressure I sure switch about a heck of a lot. So ... more of a beginning description than a fully understood one.

(I also have no idea what that other forum was, I think I wasn't active enough and lost my membership but at the time I was very badly triggered by reading stuff there so I had to just look after myself and stay away).
14 years in therapy with two therapists. Two main personalities dominate apart from my front person. They are both children (infant and teen). Other adults I know less well because they are less demanding of my attention.

With mine the "salted" part is related to how when tears eventually roll down to your lips, they taste salty. The "lipstick" part is related to how I always feel I have to put on a different face to face the world (or maybe a different personality  ), how it is fake and covers up the sadness and the tears. I also have really red lips naturally so I liked the the "lipstick" part because it not only describes the "putting on a face" type of attitude to life, but it also represents what I naturally have as well.

well said lipstick. and here I thought you liked cesears!

Sam. Sam is a name we all agreed on. well at the time I joined this site I thought I had GID. And Sam was a great gender neutral name, (although in retrospect I now see we all had input). So Sam is generally the collective or me reporting the collective. Although I am working on names to help with expression and communication. SamsLand well that is easy to understand. But is it Sam'sLand or Sams'Land? I'm in the middle of working this out.

What are cesears? I've never heard of that before...
In a way, I am not defined by my dissociation. In a way, I am.

From good ole wiki......seriously when you drink these you have salted lipstick!!

"A Caesar or Bloody Caesar is a cocktail created and primarily consumed in Canada. It typically contains vodka, Clamato (a proprietary blend of tomato juice and clam broth), hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce, and is served with ice in a large, celery salt-rimmed glass, typically garnished with a stalk of celery and wedge of lime.
It was invented in Calgary, Alberta in 1969 by restaurateur Walter Chell to celebrate the opening of a new Italian restaurant in the city. It quickly became a popular mixed drink, but remains virtually unknown outside Canada. It is claimed that over 350 million Caesars are consumed in Canada annually, and it has inspired numerous variants."

Black Widow grieves.
That is the main reason.
It is better to be the widow of a hero than the wife of a coward.
