Levels or Layers - What are these?

As I learn about new levels I go up there and ask to talk to someone and get more information.

Level I = 56 Alters
Level II = 48 Alters
Level III = 12 Alters
Level IV - 11 Alters
Level V - 9 Alters
Level VI - 10 Alters
Level VII - 8 Alters
Level VIII - 11 Alters
Level IX - 8 Alters
Level X - 9 Alters
Level XI - 9 Alters
Level XII - 8 Alters
Level XIII - 5 Alters
Level XIV - 4 Alters
Level XV - 4 Alters
Level XVI - 8 Alters
Level XVII with 7 Alters
level XVIII with 5 Alters
Level XIX with 3 Alters
Level XX - 4 Alters
Level XI - 5 Alters
Level XII - 5 Alters
Level XIII - 4 Alters
Level XXIV - 5 Alters
Level XXV - 4 Alters Innermost Level
Total 263 Alters

I have not gone to level 25 and asked yet if there are more levels. I am afraid they will say there are more!!! Did it! That should be everyone~!!!!

I might give up on my goal of documenting each.

Question - What are these levels for? All I can get out of any of them is it has something to do with fear.

Thanks! I have a drive to learn about this, but my work is failing! I have a magazine article that was due last week, so they gave me one more week. I managed to struggle doing 1 hour of work on it last night. Today is the deadline for sure. I need to do it!

I just want to learn more about DID. It's fascinating! That I could write a book on right now. It's where my interest lies!

Have you noticed any patterns for who belongs on what layer? For example, we have a host layer, a s*xual layer, a littles layer. Maybe it's something like that?

Most of the Hosts were on the most outer level - level I.

There have been a lot of animals on level I and II but I have not dug too deep into who is the levels beyond level one! I have lots of little ones - In fact, I don't think anyone is older than 15 in the whole system.

Can you tell me more about your system and how its set up. Is anyone else set up in layers with many alters like this?

Oh yeah.. you mentioned that before. Of course.

All I can say is that it is almost inconceivable to me how a single mind could manage to create, monitor or keep track of that many alters! An absolutely ridiculous statement because if I had to confess to my staff that I am multiple (as almost happened the other day, a joking conversation about voices in the head, except I kept answering honestly until I realized, uh-oh, they're looking at me funny), I'm sure they would be flabbergasted at a full dozen different people inside me. Well, ten people, a robot and a wolfdog. I am incredibly impressed with anyone's mind which can manage so very many alters and multiple layers/levels and I'm not even sure why I say that, but I definitely am.

Luckily they are all cooperative! It's just like being mother to a brood of kids and that I am use to!

Mine just seem to be far more cooperative than the rest of are dealing with. I explain everything to them and they seem to understand and we work together.

I am breezing through meeting them tonight. I met all of Level 25 and 24 which I am blogging before bed. Luckily there are not many in those levels.

I did find out that the inner most level, Level 25 has some that protect against different members of my birth family. These are also some of the oldest in the system. One is even 17! These are the only ones that refused to separate from the Core Self. Be put it under their Ice Fortress that all 4 share as last defense to protect the Core Self.

I just need to figure out what each layer means now, but to do that I need to categorize and meet them.
