Clearly it wasn't working for you, but he didn't know that, did he? Were you being polite? Did you pretend an interest? You can take more control of the therapy process. For example, start a lost time inventory. You have the one 30 minute gap at your desk, but if you start looking you may find other gaps. Have you told the therapist about Mat? Do you have any idea what you did during that 30 minute gap?
I didn't think of that. I was polite; I'm always polite. I have always had a hard time being non-polite. Someone could be stabbing me in the back and I'd ask if he wants me to scoot closer so he could get a better angle.

Yup. Same here. I remain calm and handle emergencies while others freeze, panic or, worse, deny anything is wrong. After it is all over I may have a melt down. First time I can recall doing that, I was...age 6?
About your dream, I don't know what it means but you will find that out in time. If those were alters, you will meet them again.
It's kind of nice to have that ability, though. I really dislike watching others freeze up, and can only imagine what's going on in their head when I try to get them to do something. I had to calmly tell my husband to STFU three times when Aleena was choking; he had been literally gibbering non-sense.
