My sister is moving away. so its going to be difficult to include her in a routine. Maybe once a week or something. especially with the quarantine. But it's definitely something we plan.

The memory thing is a couple of different things. Like I will one hundred percent remember putting something somewhere and it's not there. or will have actually no memory of putting something in a weird place.

~ This totally sounds like DID amnesia! (does not mean it IS it though, but it sounds like it)

~ I do my best to keep the memories flowing when it's about practical everyday life but sometimes there are missteps! And we are like "where did we just put this? who ate all the chocolate?" and it's embarrassing... ^^;

~ (When we look for the chocolate and don't remember who ate it, it means it was Envy, hehe :P )

{Snitch... - Envy}

~ Sometimes the other way around happens! "what is this thing doing here? why are there bird seeds on the balcony? who decided it was a good idea to purchase that?". Good thing it's always small stuff! The big stuff we discuss together and/or put on a wishlist to discuss later.

~ So, yep, it's something that happens in multiple systemps/DID people. Happens also to other people for other reasons.

~ Hope this helps!

That makes me feel so much better. I misplaced my driver's license for like a week and a half. Every time I tried to remember I just got the answer of "I put it somewhere safe". Couldn't figure out where.. tore my entire room looking for it.

Found it buried in a place I would literally have never put it in my room. I don't know who it was alter wise, but I get the impression one of them doesn't want me leaving the house with the pandemic going on. It's actually extremely rare for me to get sick. I have autoimmune issues but I've only had the flu once in my life. and I'm often the only person in the house who doesn't get sick when everyone else does. So I've been doing the grocery store runs with the mask and everything. On the rare occasion I get sick its usually pretty bad, because I just don't do it.

I don't know if that's why. We don't do well with stress and loud crowded areas and the stores have been packed in my area every time I go. But Dean doesn't mind shopping so much unless we run into someone who knows us. Does anyone else have their alters like...hide things from them purposefully?

They seem to put them somewhere safe. Karen has a pair of socks. The only socks that ever seen to go on my feet in a pair. They a pink and black striped. Like witches socks. Karen says she's a witch, lives in an internal world where witches are. So she has this pair of socks she likes to wear because they make her feel more at home. She is always on her broomstick when in the body which I used to find that thought disturbing and crazy making but I'm used to it now.

Anyway the socks. One was in the clean washing. She couldn't find the other one. Patrick came forward and said Ross put it in the draw for you with her tarot cards when she was tidying up and it was in the draw.

That's the only thing I know of but I "loose" stuff alot so that could be more a case of hiding than lost. I know they hide stuff, I just can't think of an example right now. Someone is telling me to go to bed and I putting it off even though I know I need to.

We've adopted little helper practices to avoid SOME of that problem- which happens more often than I care to admit or even likely remember... it's become routine, actually.
Anyhow, we try to keep specific things in very specific places. Wallet & pocket knife in a specific place, wedding ring (when not worn) in ONE place, our bullet journal and notebook journals each have their own place...

We TRY to not wander away with them- and it mostly works...

Other things, like TV remotes, game controllers, movies, games, etc... things that don't or can't have a designated place... yeah, we can and do lose things like that b/c one of us moved it and others didn't know... happens ALL THE TIME.

That is the plan. To get a routine and a place for everything. This site makes me feel so much better about things lol.
