Hi Sage,

We are a system of 47 (see our signature for more info). Maybe about half a dozen of us are active on the outside.

Whenever the topic of system size (and what constitutes a typical system) comes up, our usual response is "Each system has as many members as it needs to have."

We think that a lot of systems have many littles, but it's not a requirement. :) We once knew someone who had no littles, but their system was rooted in Asperger's syndrome rather than from abuse, so that may have been a factor. To paraphrase our earlier response, "Each system has as many littles as it needs to have."

Our inside kids vary from those who've experienced little or no trauma to those who've experienced a lot of trauma. It's a microcosm of our system as a whole.

Told you it was disturbing.

Yeah, taking measures, some of them are a bit "evil" you know but it solved the fuel crisis and the crime wave. I think some of them just pass away naturally and they just disappear but the ones we kill come back. So we kill them again or lock them away forever or send them to the luboric mines.

Only members of the highest authority within the government can switch and too do that you have to be a minister at a ministry them all if you want? But only ministers who hold senior positions are allowed to switch.

Sounds very 1984-esque. Sorry for quoting the entirety but i find it reminiscent.

We have many alters who do not front, there are only about 5 or so fronting alters here, and we suspect many more who don't front at all. So far we only know of one little in our system, Carrie, but we suspect there may be more as much of our abuse was in childhood.
I wish we were able to know how many of us there are, but we are a very disorganized system and a lot of the others don't much care to get along or speak with the rest of us. I personally have little access to the inside and can communicate with those inside better, but another alter, Dahlia, has no access whatsoever and can only switch externally. She experiences full black out periods, apparently, but I only do occasionally.

We originally based it off 1984, we share many similarities with it.

Oh we have a lot of alts, we have entire cities filled with them who are kept controlled to my liking. We have quite a lot of littles in our system, they never come out and they all have to be members of the Junior Anti-Sex League. So if they did go out they would be mentally destroyed.

Too be honest our system is quite organised, we even have a welcome centre for new alts and it's also perfect to find alts we've executed before they get back to their old ways so that we can force them into the Luboric mines.

Would you like a full list of all the ministries and those who can switch?

Oh I should of mentioned before only those who are members of the Inner Circle also known as the Brotherhood of Knowledge or the League of Senior Ministers are allowed to switch so we've limited it even more.

And if you want I can tell you all about "The Bloody Code". 725 crimes are capital offences in my system, just goes to show doesn't it?
2+2=5
3+3=7
4+4=9
5+5=11

Thanks, that helps me feel better.

I always self-doubt about my system. But i should remind myself that every system is different. There's no wrong way to be multiple. :p

i am intrigued by the language differences...
our system is bilingual, not living in an english speaking country.
so the word "part" is used a lot, but the meaning seems to be a little different.
it can be translated as part, but a more common translation would be "share".
i like "share". the word is also used in expressions describing compassion. it would also describe legal rights, like owning a share.
not even Ts like to use the word alter. it is something that is found in literature but it doesnt have a real meaning in our language.

Hmm.

So, Daniell, how about the term "shareholder"?

Kind of seems like a financial investor. :) But in a way, it's true, because everyone in the system has an investment in the system as a whole.
