Admins explaining things Slight trigger warning

Postby spanky_spee » Mon Dec 31, 2012 4:59 am

I know this sounds weird.
but this is what my admin explained to me the other day.

We have what we call the four pillars of personality.

with
the guardians
the mansion
the horror section
and the for-front

they have a ball of kind integrated personality
the guardians have a scepter
the for-front the stars
mansion a giant ball in an underground chamber
and the other I'm not to sure since the horror section is now apart of the mansion

she also explained when an alter dies or is put to sleep they integrate into one of these balls.

So I'm just thinking is my mind sort naturally integrating in smalls ways? it's just strange

she also explained the final phase four main personality types will integrate but eventually we'll just be four but may never be one.

I don't know that much about DID, but it could be the four groups are all half-integrated, that the dissociative barriers are lowered between them.

The mind is always trying to integrate. That is the natural way. In DID, there is a reason parts are separated and integrating in the normal way won't work (otherwise it had already happened). So yes it could be natural integration that is happening. But I don't think they will completely integrate without resolving the underlying conflict that caused the dissociation in the first place.
(I think the fact the mind always tries to integrate is the reason dissociative barriers start to break down at some point in someone's life.)
This thread could be useful: Supportive Integration - Roles Trigger

It could also be groups, levels or sub-systems, like what happens more often in more complex dissociation.

Btw, it doesn't sound weird to me.
Dx: PDD-NOS. Tested for dissociative disorders and PTSD but they say the symptoms are attributable to PDD-NOS.
